Welcome to the DBT Skills Training Course! I am delighted to have you join me on this transformative journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth.


Allow me to introduce myself. I am Taryn, your instructor and guide throughout this course. With over 12 years of experience in mental health and addictions counselling, I have dedicated my professional life to helping individuals navigate the challenges they face and cultivate a life worth living.


My passion lies in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), a proven and effective approach that empowers individuals to develop essential skills for emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. I have received extensive training in DBT and have witnessed its remarkable impact on countless lives.


Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, borderline personality disorder, and various addiction issues. Witnessing the resilience and growth of my clients has only reinforced my commitment to delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions.

In addition to my practical experience, I hold relevant academic credentials and continuously stay with the most current research and developments in the field of mental health. My aim is to provide you with a comprehensive, evidence-based, and practical training experience that will equip you with the tools and skills necessary to create positive change in your life.
