About Jody
MACP Student Intern
Jody is a passionate advocate for mental health and education, driven by his desire to help individuals achieve personal well-being and success. With a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (Qualifying) and a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick, Jody has developed a strong foundation in both counseling and pedagogy. His diverse professional background includes roles as a High School Teacher and a Middle School Specialist, where he gained invaluable experience in mentorship and personal development.
Jody’s commitment to mental health extends beyond the classroom, as he actively participates in initiatives focused on Improving Mental Health (iDBT). His involvement in this program underscores his belief in the transformative power of supportive environments for fostering mental wellness.
As a member of the Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association, he adheres to the highest standards of care, emphasizing a problem-solving approach coupled with compassion.
In addition to his professional achievements, Jody is passionate about self-care, prioritizing activities that promote his own mental and physical health. He enjoys hiking, mindfulness practices, and art, understanding that personal well-being enhances his ability to support others.
