Why Mission Forward iDBT

Skills For Moving Forward.

Life can place extraordinary demands on people.

Whether those demands come from service, shift work, leadership responsibilities, exposure to trauma, supporting others, major life transitions, family pressures, or simply the challenges of everyday life, most people eventually encounter situations that test their ability to cope effectively.

Mission Forward iDBT was created to provide practical, evidence-based skills that help people navigate those challenges with greater confidence and effectiveness.

Built on the principles of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), the program teaches skills for managing emotions, tolerating distress, improving relationships, communicating effectively, staying grounded during difficult moments, and responding more skillfully to life's challenges.

What makes Mission Forward iDBT unique is that the program has been intentionally adapted for Veterans, Active Military Members, Public Safety Personnel, and First Responders.

While the evidence-based DBT skills remain the foundation of the program, the language, examples, discussions, and real-world applications are tailored to reflect the realities often experienced within these communities.

Participants are learning how these skills can be applied to situations that may involve operational stress, trauma exposure, transition to civilian life, relationship strain, shift work, burnout, leadership responsibilities, and the many challenges that can come with serving others.

Skills that can be practiced, strengthened, and relied upon long after the program ends.

Because the mission is not simply getting through difficult moments.

The mission is building the skills to move forward through them.
